Identity fraud attempts in the U.S. cargo and logistics sector have surged 213% in two years, according to a report from identity verification and scanning solutions provider IDScan.net. Between 2023 and 2024, fraud attempts climbed from 0.53% of verification transactions to 1.66%, then rose to 2.15% in 2025, the New Orleans-based firm said in its "2026 Cargo and Logistics ID Fraud Report."
